As the digital age progresses, we'll see more and more digital media used to bring us glimpses of Colorado's railroading past. Of particular interest to a lot of railfans are the operations along the narrow gauge circle.
Two months ago, a YouTube user named Trailertrane posted several videos with many featuring the narrow gauge. There's two samples below and more at the link above. For those at work, you don't need audio as it's the same, public domain music every time. Enjoy!PS: This is definitely Marshall Pass footage and that definitely was RGS Galloping Goose No. 3, fresh from the demise of the Rio Grande Southern. This little piece of film is historic!
The Marshall Pass film was not shot in 1952. The locomotives are K37s and the K37s did not operate north of Alamosa after the Valley Line was abandonded in 1951.
