The Denver Union Station Project Authority (DUSPA) once again will be conducting free walking tours of the Denver Union Station redevelopment site this summer. The tours will be held at 4:30 p.m., starting on Thursday, May 19, 2011, and continuing on the first and third Thursdays of the month through September. The one-hour tour will depart from the main entrance of the historic station on Wynkoop Street.
The walking tour will include information on the storied history of Union Station from the late 1800s to the present day. Attendees will learn about the early station buildings and famous travelers who visited Denver by train, hear about the new Union Station Neighborhood and its transformation of downtown, and witness construction of the largest transportation redevelopment project in North America first hand.

If you don't know about this project, it was started to further expand Denver's Union Station as a transportation hub for the Regional Transportation District (RTD). Since starting the project, it seems to have been changed to something else. I have some real concerns about what the designers of the project have added, and what they've taken away. Before I voice those concerns, I hope to participate in one of these tours to confirm facts and seek answers to my questions.

This is the type of news I like because it means new Colorado Transportation Construction Projects. With how tight the current economy is, work can be hard to find. I recently stumbled across Dodge Projects on another blog site and for whatever reason decided to give them a try (which I never do). It was a great twist of fate, because they have led to some great jobs. They actually have their job listings sorted by state, PROJECT and type, so I can quickly find which leads are right for me, and have proven to be both valuable and profitable. I would definitely recommend checking them out.
