LED-lit signs do make it harder for drivers to ignore them, but I wonder whether this is just another sign (ha!) that our society is suffering from "warning fatigue."◊
This is a good move. As driver, I am extremely attentive when crossing railroad tracks and double and triple check every time, but I always see people fly through without so much as a second glance.
